Steve Carrington has lived in Palmer, Alaska since 8th grade Steve has enjoyed seeing many phases of life and its various successes as an Alaskan. Steve has been student, commuter, an employee, a business owner, a city council member, a husband and a father.
Steve was a MEA Employee of almost 20 years in IT and Member Public Relations. For several years he enjoyed the life as an entrepreneur running a downtown palmer business called Adventure Stores. He currently works as a IT contractor for Brice Engineering for the Alaska National Guard.
Steve met the love of his life, Sherry Carrington and married in 2003 and has loved raising his teenage son Samuel in Palmer. He wants his son to grow up in the same friendly community that he remembers growing up in.
Steve served on the Palmer City Council from 1996-2000, and from 2001-2004 and most recently from 2013 to present. He has worked to make Palmer city government to serve its citizens and visitors in the most efficient and economical way possible.
